chocolate heartResearch continues to point to the role of flavanols in improving blood flow and reducing cardiovascular disease. Today, however, Reuters reports that cocoa-based medications are at least ten years off.

While this is unfortunate for those who could truly benefit from these medications, it is a great excuse to eat more chocolate. And while hot cocoa has been shown to be the best source of antioxidants (better even than red wine), dark chocolates can also be a rich source.
